Earthing/Grounding

Spring is right around the corner; I therefore wanted to share some inspiring information on earthing/grounding.

Earthing, also known as grounding is a wellness practice involving making direct skin contact with Earth's surface, such as walking barefoot, to connect with our planet's electrical charge; promoting health and well-being. Essentially, it is the act of kissing Mother Earth with your bare feet, and letting her nurture you back.

Research shows numerous positive changes from grounding such as reducing inflammation, muscle tension, stress, and pain while improving sleep, and increasing energy.

Personally, I have noticed its magical benefits while going through the monthly female cycle. After laying on the grass at the park surrounded by trees for a few hours, my cramps are significantly reduced. In the colder seasons, I use grounding shoes designed to encourage that process. But with the advent of warmer seasons, the opportunity to ground is plenty, so hopefully this is a good reminder to do just that.
